The job

The Logistics Assistant reports to the Sales Manager. He/She is responsible for the day-to-day management of activities related to product distribution, receipt of goods, and management of warehouse inventories. He/She works closely with delivery and sales teams, as well as the production team, regarding freight transfers.

Main tasks

  • He/She establishes and adapts a procedure plan for the proper functioning of distribution management in collaboration with the sales department.
  • He/She executes the established inventory management plan: Taking inventory and explaining the deviations, if any.
  • He/She executes the distribution of deliveries as well as the scheduling of the distribution team.
  • He/She coordinates the shipment and receipt of goods (inter-brewery transfers, distributors, various pick-ups).
  • He/She assists the sales department in certain administrative tasks such as building maintenance and related purchases.
  • He/She is responsible for the management of the truck fleet with respect to the legal obligations regarding heavy vehicles and mechanical inspections.
  • He/She aggregates data in order to provide statistics and establish a financially profitable distribution plan.
  • He/She physically assists the handler and fork operator as needed.
  • He/She assists and/or replaces delivery drivers as needed.

Qualifications required


  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar position 
  • Secondary school completed, DEC in transportation logistics an asset 
  • Inventory management training an asset 
  • Good knowledge of DDC products!  


  • Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written 
  • Great sense of organization 
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail 
  • Effective communication 

Must be physically able to move or lift heavy items.


  • Valid driver’s license, class 3 or 1 an asset. 
  • Valid fork operator permit
